Keshia Knight Pulliam portrays Tisean “T.T.” Williams in the Set It Off stage play produced by Je’Caryous Entertainment. The celebrity mom recently stopped by Dish Nation to talk about her role and how she relates as a mother.
“As you know, when you become a mom, it’s a love like you’ve never experienced in your life,” Keshia shared. “The best way I can describe it is like you’re growing a whole other heart outside of your body that you didn’t know was possible,” the celebrity mom explained. “There is nothing you will not do for your child,” Keshia continued. “I will wear orange for my baby. You don’t want these problems. Don’t do it.”
Set It Off (1996) is a classic film that delves into the realities of urban life in Los Angeles. Four friends who are tired of being pushed down in society come up with a plan of deliverance. Their scheme involves robbing a bank and leaving a life of crime just as soon as they get into it. One robbery, of course, turns into several with the climactic moment leaving three out of four of the women dead.
Da Brat, who portrays Cleopatra “Cleo” Sims in the stage play, has been with the stage production of the story since its inception two years ago.
“Set it Off is my favorite movie of all time,” Da Brat said in a statement back in 2018. “I couldn’t let it get away from me twice and had to jump at the chance,” she added. “Je’Caryous Johnson presents Set It Off is a dream come true for me and I’m honored to bring it to fans across the country.”
