“Happy 12th Birthday to My Incredible Son,” Monica wrote online. “Melo I love you from the depths of my soul,” the celebrity mom told her son.
“You are fearless yet loving, complex yet compassionate, tough as nails yet your heart loves in such a special way! Your level of independence and drive can’t be bought! I’m in your corner until I leave this earth and even after, I will fly with you! Thank you for making my life better.”

Romelo Hill along with his brother, Rodney Hill Jr., and sister, Laiyah Brown, have been quite instrumental in helping his mom get through a tough time. Monica and her husband, Shannon Brown, announced their plans to divorce last year. The celebrity mom has expressed immense gratitude to her kids for giving her hope during a difficult season.
“Infinite Love and Optimism is what the three of you have given me,” Monica told her kids in one Instagram post. “There’s no love greater than the love I share with each you,” the celebrity mom added. “You are the Love without Conditions that I prayed to feel … God knew I needed you.”
