Travis Scott wants you to know that he is enjoying fatherhood. The celebrity father writes about his life as a dad and top recording artist for the latest issue of XXL.
“Having a daughter is amazing and has given me such respect for mothers and the process of raising children,” Travis says. The ‘Wake Up’ rapper welcomed his daughter, Stormi Webster, with Keeping Up With The Kardashians star Kylie Jenner last February. Both Travis and Kylie rang in their daughter’s first birthday in a big way with an “Astro World” themed bash.
“It’s not a struggle to have a famous significant other,” Travis says of Kylie Jenner. “I think life in general always comes with hardships,” he adds. “It’s how you deal with them. I love being at the crib and I love spending time with the family. Now especially, because I just love hanging out with the Stormster. I just love watching my kid grow. It makes life so much simpler. I also love watching movies and just sitting and soaking up inspiration.”
Inspiration has translated into much success over the past six years. Travis Scott officially entered the scene in 2012. Now, seven years later, the rapper has several smash hits and numerous awards.
“I never try to gauge my success,” Travis writes of his incredible celebrity status. “I just try to push the agenda I’m on,” he explains. “I just try to keep my fans on the ride with me. I’m straight as long as they [are] straight. That’s my whole thing. As long as I got my fans, I can still manage to rock. I’ll always stay real to who I was from the start. I just keep pushing the agenda and keep trying to put out cool sh*t and hope people like it.”
