Founder of “GaBBY Bows”, twelve-year-old entrepreneur Gabrielle “Gabby” Goodwin has been perfecting her product since she was seven-years-old. Fast-forward to the present and the preteen business young woman now finds her products in 74 Target stores throughout the country.
Gabrielle’s entrepreneurial adventure started off as a mere conversation between she and her mother about missing/lost barrettes. The talented preteen came up with a solution and patented the first double-faced, double-snap barrette known as “GaBBY Bows.” In addition to her product launch, she and her mother, through their company, also offer a Mommy and Me Entrepreneurship Academy, giving parents and their children the opportunity to collaborate through microfranchising under the umbrella of “GaBBY Bows” multiple product lines.
“Everyone talks about how I’m so amazing. I want them to know that they can do similar things as me—and know that anything is possible,” Gabby said in a previous interview with Black Enterprise. “This dream coming true helps girls know that whatever they put their minds and hard work to, they can achieve.”
