Sterling Shepard is taking time away from the game to spend with his family. The NFL receiver recently visited the pumpkin patch with his wife, Chanel Iman, and daughter, Cali Clay Shepard. The trip comes weeks after Sterling suffered his second concussion within a matter of four games.
Sources close to the Giants told the press that Shepard would be out for a while after suffering a concussion during Week 5 and feeling the effects of such an injury the following day. Some speculate, though, that Sterling may be able to return to the field next month.
“He’s been out there practicing pretty much full,” Giants coach Pat Shurmur, says. “But he’s still in the protocol. That’s kind of a unique answer to the question, but that’s where he’s at right now.”
Sterling Shepard feels physically healthy but, nevertheless, is taking into account his most recent injuries. “I feel 100 percent,” the celebrity father recently told the New York Post exclusively. “I feel like [my injury will] affect the way that I play if I think about it,” Shepard admitted. “If I try to change the way that I play, I won’t be the player that I am. So I’m not going to change anything.”
Cali Clay Shepard is Chanel Iman and Sterling Shepard’s oldest daughter. The celebrity couple is expecting their second child to arrive next year. Stay tuned for more celebrity baby news!
