Kehlani is thanking her lucky stars for her baby girl, Adeya Nomi. The singer took to Instagram on Wednesday to share a couple of photos of her ‘best friend’, who celebrated her six-month birthday just last week.

“6 months is half a year. 6 months is 26 weeks. 182 days roughly. 6 months of loving you, and being loved in return in the greatest way. Some days i just stare at you in awe and you crack up like you know just how perfect you are that I’m silly for wondering how and why me everytime,” Kehlani captioned under a series of photos of her daughter.
She continued, “You will ALWAYS know how perfect you are. You will always have everything you want and need, and the support to be you freely behind you. You will always have a village, a team, an audience, a council, a cheer-leading squad. may that sparkle in your eye stay bright for life. May your body carry you as far as you dream (and back cause i will miss you). May your mind explore every dream it dreams up.. May your spirit stay lifted & strong… and may your heart stay forever pure. My angel. My teacher. My soulmate. Half a year with you i can’t believe we’re here already.”

For the first-time mom, not only has motherhood been a lesson on unconditional love, but it has also been transforming.
“…6 months of motherhood. 6 months of transformation and transcendence. 26 weeks 182 days of sacrifice, Quick lessons, and the expansion of an already huge heart. Being a mother is the hardest job i’ve ever had, but the most fulfilling at the same time. these long nights, early mornings.. These scary moments when i don’t know what to do and i’m calling my mom and all my mom friends freaked out.. these pure silly times when i feel like i’ve done something wrong or missed a step only to remember there isnt any rules to this [stuff] except LOVE,” Kehlani shared under a video collage of Adeya.
She added, “I don’t remember the woman i was before her. I don’t care to. At the same time, a part of me was always this woman. When i birthed my daughter, i birthed myself that day as well. I am so proud of myself. I’m so proud of us as a pair… a unit… a movement. motherhood is my greatest attribute, talent, gift, offering, everything. I wouldn’t trade being Adeya’s mama for any position on the planet. We’re doing it, pumpkin. 1 day at a time.”
Kehlani and her ex, Javie Young-White, welcomed their daughter back in March.
