“As a family, we believe inclusion and equality are two essential pillars needed to move towards growth and progressive thinking and action in our society,” Union wrote online. “We have created a Limited Edition T-shirt to help create a more inclusive space with our platform,” the celebrity mom continued.

“The Wade family and @yngdna have decided to donate $50k and 50% of the proceeds of sales of the Pride shirts to The GLSEN organization whose mission strives to ensure safe schools for all students, regardless of sexual orientation as well as gender identity,” Gabrielle told her fans. “For 25 years GLSEN has been the leading national organization focused on ensuring safe and affirming schools for LGBTQ+ students.”

Both Gabrielle Union and Dwyane Wade came under a bit of fire a few months back when Dwyane’s son, Zion, came out as a member of the LGBTQ+ community. The tween had the full support of his family at Miami Beach Pride Parade. Many praised Dwyane and Gabrielle for supporting Zion. Some, however, accused the celebrity couple of doing more harm than good regarding Zion.

“It’s Zion’s story to tell,” Dwyane said during an interview after the Miami Beach Pride Parade. “I think as a family, we should support each other,” the celebrity father added. “That’s our job. And my job as a father is to facilitate their lives and to support them and be behind them in whatever they want to do.”

Zion Wade is Dwyane Wade’s son with ex-wife Siohvaughn Funches. The celebrity parent fathers four kids in all. Stay tuned for more celebrity family news!
