Congratulations to Danielle Brooks and her mystery boyfriend, who are expecting their first child together. The Orange Is The New Black star announced her pregnancy via Instagram on Tuesday (July 2).
Danielle gave her social media fans a heads up that she would be sharing big news before revealing her expectancy to her Instagram fans. “Sharing some exciting news shortly,” Brooks tweeted. “Can’t wait to share with you all,” she added. The actress revealed her exciting news on Instagram 30 minutes after preparing her Twitter fans for the announcement.

“So elated to finally share this news with you all,” Danielle began. “I’m happily pregnant,” the actress exclaimed. More than 150,000 Instagram liked Brooks’ posts within a matter of minutes. “Yasssss,” one fan wrote online in response to the good news. Another of Danielle’s social media followers posted applause emojis.

Danielle Brooks is best known for her role as Tasha “Taystee” Jefferson on the hit Netflix series Orange Is The New Black. The actress, who presently stars in Shakespeare’s Much Ado About Nothing in The Park, recently wrote a piece for Health in which she delved into the importance of confidence and patience.
