"It's Not That Baby's Fault She Is Here"

Some fans think that La La Anthony should accept her husband’s daughter, Genesis, who Carmelo Anthony allegedly fathered with a woman named Mia Angel Burke. La La Anthony filed for divorce from Carmelo Anthony in 2017 after the NBA player allegedly cheated on his wife. She took off her wedding ring and even acknowledged her plans for healthy co-parenting during separation during a 2017 interview. “[Kiyan feels everything] is totally, totally normal,” La La shared. “We made a commitment to create an environment so he is happy and smiling.”

La La and Carmelo later decided to call off the divorce and have been working to rebuild their relationship ever since. “When you live in this world and it’s work and it’s children, it’s this, it’s that,” La La said during an interview earlier this year.

“It’s easy to forget about the marriage and you have to remember to put the marriage at the forefront. I think that people just kind of always assume that it’ll be there and they forget that that’s work in itself,” she added.

La La may have been willing to forgive Carmelo and work towards a better union. Some fans, however, have their doubts about the celebrity mom’s willingness to wholeheartedly accept Genesis who many believe Carmelo welcomed with his mistress one year ago when his marriage was on the rocks.

In fact, some think that La La is keeping her husband from building a relationship with his alleged daughter, which is a major sin to those who believe in the power of blended families.

Of course, there are those who believe that La La Anthony did enough when she decided to call off the divorce and take her husband back. Asking the celebrity mom to go to great lengths to encourage Carmelo to spend time with his daughter is a bit much.
