Tia Mowry’s new show, Family Reunion may be the series that we never knew we needed. The Netflix show, starring Loretta Devine as M’Dear, is set to arrive on the platform next month.
“Black family magic is being together,” Tia says in the promotional trailer. Unity is definitely key when there are two families living under one roof.
M’Dear has her set of regulations that she expects everyone to follow without question. The kids, however, are used to their mom and dad’s approach to rearing, which is not as stringent as their grandmother’s method of teaching. Cultural differences are also at work as Cocoa (Tia Mowry) and Moses (Anthony) are from the West Coast. Everyone will learn what it means to have Southern hospitality by the time M’Dear shapes everyone up, though. There are bumps in the road, but the family always comes back to love.
