Christina Milian and her daughter, Violet Madison Nash, were two of many at the Toy Story 4 premiere at El Capitan Theatre this past Tuesday (June 11). Milian joined her daughter and Violet’s cousin, Naomi Rose, in watching the kids’ movie before enjoying Happy Meals provided by McDonald’s at the after party.
Violet, Naomi, and Christina took several pictures while on the red carpet at the premiere. Buzz Lightyear came to the rescue in one shot as he posed while standing in the middle of one picture of Christina and the kids. All members of the party appeared delighted to take a candid with one of the film’s biggest stars.
Toy Story 4 takes the notion of toys as the main characters in a film to the next level. The storyline is written in a manner that provides subtle reminders that viewers are indeed getting an inside look at what it’s like to go through life as an action figure. There is more to Toy Story 4 than just toys, though. Young viewers can learn about the importance of loyalty and friendship through the story of Sporky and Woody’s willingness to put everything on the line to save Bonnie’s new friend.
There is also the aspect of independence as brought to audience members via Bo Peep. The character that once comforted children in the middle of the night is now living her life apart from an official owner. She invites Woody to do the same, which presents a dilemma. Will Woody find his independence as an ownerless toy? Or, will his devotion to Andy and subsequently Bonnie keep him in line with the rules that he knows?
You will have to catch Toy Story 4 in theaters to get the answer to that question and more. See the film – starring Tom Hanks, Tim Allen, and more – on July 21, 2019!
