Yung Miami and her boyfriend, producer Southside, are expecting their first child together. Earlier today, the City Girls’ rapper shared the news of her pregnancy with her Instagram fans.

“I’ve been going back and forth to share this moment with my fans,” the expectant star began her announcement. “But on MY TERMS! I want this journey to be nothing but positive going forward and I wanted to share this with y’all. No one knows what is best for me but GOD, and this was just his timing for me.”

Yung Miami went on to tell her followers, “Everybody doubted me and said I shouldn’t be rapping and that I wouldn’t be able to hold the group down while JT was away but I did just that and then some, to the point that you all have made this experience as a rapper so fulfilling that I cannot wait to show more of what I really have in store for my fans.”

City Girls is meant to be a rap group similar to that of Salt N’ Peppa. Dreams of making it big as a rhythmic duo, however, have been put on hold due to group member JT serving out a prison sentence for identity theft. Yung Miami has been working to keep City Girls in the public eye and has done a great job thus far. News of the artist’s pregnancy, however, appeared to throw Miami for a loop as the rapper cried while sharing the news of her expectancy during a scene of the group’s documentary, Point Blank Period.

“Pregnancy is a beautiful thing and life-changing, so I cannot wait to see what the future has in store for the City Girls,” Yung Miami said in her pregnancy announcement on Instagram. “And for the record, JT has nothing to do with me being pregnant,” the artist added. “She is so supportive and can’t wait for our newest addition! This is my personal life and it is what it is! PERIOD.”
Miami already has a son named Jai Wiggins Jr, whom she shares with ex Jai Wiggins.
