Kim Kardashian and Kanye West welcomed their fourth child last Thursday. Many thought that the celebrity couple would name their newborn Bear. It turns out that Kim and Kanye have decided to name their son Psalm West.

Those familiar with the Christian Bible may recognize “Psalm” from the book of Psalms. By definition, a Psalm is a sacred song or poem that is used in worship. The book of Psalms is a compilation of King David’s songs and poems written to God.

Perhaps Kim Kardashian and Kanye West decided to name their son after a book in the Christian Bible because of their Sunday morning services. Kim and Kanye launched their outdoor devotional segments a few weeks ago to the delight of the masses online. Some revealed that they would only give church another chance if Kanye was the leader. Others watch segments of the service online every time Kim uploads them to her social media accounts.

Kim spoke about the Sunday morning services that have garnered the attention of thousands during a recent interview with ELLE. “It’s honestly more like a healing experience for my husband,” the Keeping Up With The Kardashians star revealed. “It’s just music; there’s no sermon,” Kim explained. “It’s definitely something he believes in — Jesus — and there’s a Christian vibe. But there’s no preaching. It’s just a very spiritual Christian experience.”
