MOTHER OF XXXTENTACION’S SON, GEKYUME, GRANTED ACCESS TO LATE RAPPER’S DNA

A Victory For Jenesis!

The mother of XXXTentacion’s son, Gekyume, scored a victory in the courts this week. Jenesis Sachez was reportedly granted access to the late rapper’s DNA, which may be used to establish paternity for baby Gekyume.

According to The Blast,

“A Florida judge has granted the petition filed by Jenesis Sanchez and will allow her to obtain a sample of his DNA from the medical examiner.

The court also shut down XXXTentacion’s mother, Cleopatra Bernard, in her attempt to block Sanchez from getting the sample.”

Some could not understand why Jenesis filed a petition to establish paternity for her son. It was, after all, pretty clear to many that little Gekyume was XXXTentacion’s child. There are, however, more reasons than one for a mother to establish paternity.

The process of obtaining a DNA test to determine the father of a child creates a legal pathway in which the child serves to benefit financially. A mother stands a greater chance of winning cases involving child support when paternity is established. Paternity also impacts an inheritance where the father has passed away without a will and the biological child stands to receive the wealth left behind.

XXXTentacion was murdered in Deerfield Beach, Florida, last June. Gekyume Onfroy was born this past January. Stay tuned for more XXXTentacion paternity news!
