Nipsey Hussle’s brother, Samiel Asghedom, has reportedly joined forces with his sister, Samantha Smith, in trying to get custody of the late rapper’s daughter, Emani Asghedom.

According to documents obtained by The Blast,
“Samiel Asghedom, known as Blacc Sam, filed a declaration in support of Samantha Smith obtaining guardianship of Nipsey’s 10-year-old daughter, Emani.
The document is heavily redacted, but it’s clear Nipsey’s family is hoping that Blacc Sam’s vote of confidence will help them in the battle to prevent guardianship from Emani’s mother, Tanisha.”
Samantha Smith previously filed for temporary custody of Emani after the 10-year-old went to live with her mother after the untimely death of her father. A judge denied Samantha’s appeal and cited “no urgency” for the reason behind his denial of the request. The judge ordered Tanisha be notified of custody hearing scheduled for May 14, 2019, which may be why Samiel Asghedom filed paperwork in support of his sister.

The older brother of Nipsey Hussle gave a moving tribute to the late rapper at Nipsey Hussle’s funeral last month. “We don’t know if we’re going to go at 80, 60, 30. Or 20,” Samiel said. “The one thing is that when you go, you go the right way,” he added.
“You stand up for what you believe in. You put your money where your mouth is. And you never fold. Never let the pressure sway you from doing what you want to do. Never let the politics stop you from coming around and staying around. And I hope everyone knows that’s what bro did. Bro stayed and he died on Crenshaw and Slauson.”
