Wendy Williams’ husband, Kevin Hunter, wants alimony and child support for their 19-year-old son, Kevin Hunter Jr. Yes, you read that correctly.
According to Page Six,
“Hunter filed his response to her divorce petition and is requesting spousal support, as well as child support for their son, Kevin Hunter Jr., even though he’s 18 and will turn 19 in August … Hunter is also requesting the famed talk show host pay for their son’s college tuition, as well as ‘equitable distribution of all personal assets.'”
Wendy Williams filed for divorce from her husband after rumors of him fathering a son with his mistress, Sharina Hudson, surfaced. Kevin later made a public statement about the impending divorce.
“28 years ago I met an amazing woman: Wendy Williams,” Kevin shared in a statement. “I have dedicated most of our lives to the business empire that is Wendy Williams Hunter, a person that I truly love and respect unconditionally. I am not proud of my recent actions and take full accountability and apologize to my wife, my family, and her amazing fans.”
Kevin Hunter was allegedly fired from Wendy Williams’ show weeks after divorce proceedings went public. Wendy did not disclose everything related to her personal life. The talk show host did, however, tell her audience members and viewers at home that she had a new life planned that included her and Kevin Hunter Jr.
“Addressing my sobriety, [and] my addiction, head on has really helped me sort out every single compartment of my life,” Williams told her fans. “I have a commitment to me and my son to come out of here better, stronger and faster than ever.”
