Pastor John Gray of Relentless Church and his wife, Aventer Gray, celebrated their kids’ birthdays this past weekend. Theory and John Gray IV had the absolute pleasure of celebrating their special days at Disney World. How cool is that?
The Gray kids took pictures with Minnie Mouse and Mickey Mouse in a studio meant to give visitors the illusion of going backstage with Minnie and Mickey. Theory and John IV had friends and family with them as they celebrated their birthdays at Magic Kingdom.
“Celebrating our miracles,” Aventer shared with her Instagram fans. “It’s their first time here so why not for 7 and 6,” she asked. “We are so excited.”
Mrs. Gray went on to tell her social media fans, “One of the greatest highlights of the babies’ birthdays was our family, being a part. … It means a lot when family comes together because you never know how long you will have each other! Our bloodline is STRONG!”
Aventer ended her post about family by honoring the patriarch of her happy home, Pastor John Gray. “You are one of the greatest men I know,” the pastor’s wife shared. “I mean best husband, father, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend … all of the above,” Aventer continued. “Your example is necessary and I thank God for it.”
Some agree that the Grays are role models. Others, however, have challenged Pastor John Gray to embrace a minimalist lifestyle after learning that the Relentless Church leader owns sneakers valued at more than $4,000. A few critics are still reeling from the Lamborghini that John purchased for Aventer, which was priced at more than $200,000, last year.
One pastor was so moved by John and Aventer Gray’s lifestyle that he challenged the Relentless Church pastor to take the low road this past weekend. “On this Easter Day, I am calling @RealJohnGray and other Church pastors to take #TheJesusChallenge: Live one year minimally,” Pastor Jomo Johnson of Washington, DC, shared on Sunday (April 21). “You choose,” Johnson continued. “Starting May 1st, give up one possession per day or week, or per month…until next Easter.”
