“Rest in Love Nipsey,” Jada Pinkett-Smith shared online after hearing of the rapper’s death. “I am an admirer of your wisdom which will now be part of your legacy,” Mrs. Smith added. “My heart bleeds for all those who love him.”

The Game, a.k.a. Jayceon Taylor, also commented on Nipsey’s death. “Rolled down my window 12 years ago on Crenshaw and Slauson as you handed me your demo and said, ‘Chuck, don’t frisbee my sh*t homie… give a young ni**a a ear (sic).’ From that day to letting you open up for me on tour and us going around the world together, creating a bond and watching your growth to today,” The Game wrote.

Taylor went on to talk about the manner by which Nipsey was killed. “Murdered my friend in front of his own store on a Sunday at that,” The Game exclaimed. “After just talking to you on the phone just last night about the Dr. Sebi documentary, family, the kids and how we were both ’bout to f**k the summer up with this music, the world loses a true king. A man that was truly about everything he spoke and stood up for all that he believed in.”
