#KIMPORTERDAY: KIM PORTER’S FAMILY AND FRIENDS REMEMBER HER ON HER BIRTHDAY
Christian Combs joined his father in paying homage to Kim Porter after news of her death went public. The 20-year-old along with his father and other family friends even established December 15th as “Kim Porter Day” in honor of the late model and mother of four.
“My whole world stopped,” Christian told Angie Martinez when asked about his response to hearing of his mother’s death. “I was really down,” he added. The one thing that cheered the 20-year-old recording artist was a song.
“As soon as I got in the car … ’cause I landed at the airport … As soon as I got in the car, my song ‘Love You Better’ came on the radio. I’m like, ‘Nah, I know that’s her talking to me. Making sure I know everything is okay.'”
Kim Porter left behind two sons, Quincy Brown and Christian Combs, and twin daughters Jessie and D’Lila Combs. She was 47-years-old at the time of her death. Catch the full interview that Christian Combs had with Angie Martinez of Power 105.1 below!
