Angelina Jolie and her children joined Thandie Newton and her family at the Dumbo premiere in Los Angeles, California, on Monday (March 11). The celebrity families made appearances on the red carpet before entering El Capitan Theatre to see the film.
Thandie and her husband, Ol Parker, definitely appeared to be the proud parents as they stood beside their daughter, Nico Parker, who stars in the film. Angelina Jolie and her kids were also the exuberant bunch as they gave the cameras smiles while on the red carpet.
Dumbo remains a beloved story several decades after its original animated debut because of the themes that make up the tale. Bravery and loyalty stand out as the elephant that the masses doubt captures the hearts of children who believe that Dumbo can be as great as he imagines.
Danny DeVito, who stars as Max Medici in the Dumbo remake, recently discussed his role and the significance of the film with Collider. “It’s very, very positive. Hopeful. Almost a ‘never give up’ kind of thing,” DeVito said of the movie’s message.
“In life, you see all the different things that infiltrate the good things in life,” DeVito further explains. “You can’t always believe what somebody tells you. Sometimes it messes up all your hopes and dreams. But if you all stick together, possibly you could get out of it and there’ll be a happy ending. And dreams do come true.”
