Young and The Restless star Kristoff St. John was found dead on Sunday (February 3). He was 52-years-old at the time of his passing. The Young & The Restless star’s ex-wife, Mia St. John, took to social media shortly after hearing of her ex-husband’s death to blame the hospital who was responsible for their late son Julian St. John’s care.
According to Mia, the mental health facility that housed Julian before his tragic suicide in 2014 murdered her family. “That hospital killed our son @TheArtofJulian then my husband @kristoffstjohn1,” Mia wrote. “That’s what happened,” she exclaimed. “They killed my family!”
Kristoff St. John and Mia St. John’s son battled with mental illness before his tragic passing. The young adult was supposed to be under the close monitoring of medical staff at the time of his death but still managed to commit suicide. Kristoff and Mia sued the medical facility for negligence after Julian’s death and settled the dispute out of court.
Kristoff St. John was placed on suicide watch in 2017 around the anniversary of his son’s death after he threatened to kill himself. The actor was released from care after 72 hours of close monitoring.

It is unclear what Mia St. John meant by her now-deleted post that blamed the medical facility in charge of Julian’s care for the deaths of her son and ex-husband. Mia St. John continues to carry on the foundation that she and Kristoff established after their son’s passing, the El Saber es Poder (Knowledge is Power) Foundation, which shines the light on mental illness.
Kristoff St. John had two children Julian and Paris Nicole, with Mia St. John and a daughter named Lola (born April 15, 2003) with his second wife, Allana Nadal St. John. Learn more about the Mia St. John Foundation here!
