The Combs twins, the daughters of Diddy and the late Kim Porter, helped to feed the homeless this past weekend with the help of friends Sophia Pippen and Kenzo Hounsou. The celebrity kids were joined by others who also provided warm food for those in need.
Roxy Bacardi was one of the organizers responsible for this successful event. The coordinator took to Instagram to thank all of those who participated. “#FeedTheHomies was a success his last weekend,” Roxy exclaimed. “We served 144 people DELICIOUS warm meals and passed out over 140 love bags. WE appreciate everyone who came together to make his event possible!! YOU ALL ROCK.”
Sean “Diddy” Combs also took to Instagram to celebrate his daughters and their friends. “Today is volunteer day, helping to feed our brothers and sisters,” the celebrity father said. “Teaching the importance of giving back,” Diddy concluded. One social media fan summed up the activity best by writing, “That’s when you know you got it right is when you give back.” Indeed!
Feed The Homies is a charity organization similar to Feed The Children. The non-profit seeks to help those in need by providing a hot meal for the homeless all while building relationships. Feed The Homies kicked off its nationwide tour in 2016 with the hope of befriending the homeless.
“We want to be homies with the homeless,” Zach Lindsay, founder of the organization, said. “[This is] not just a charity to hand them a McChicken [sandwich] and then kind of brush them off,” he explained. “We want to be friends with them and give them someone to talk to.”
