Louis and Laila Bullock are not getting a host of presents this Christmas. Sandra Bullock tells media why she decided to give her kids three gifts each, six presents in total, this holiday season.
“I overdo it and then I panic that I didn’t do enough,” Sandra says of previous Christmas mornings in her home. “And then I get more and then everyone else has overdone it,” she adds. “But this year we just stopped.”
Bullock further explains, “There’s so much happening in the world where people don’t have anything, we said, ‘Why don’t we just make this [holiday] about other people?’ [The kids] were amazing about it. So Christmas is three small gifts.”
Sandra Bullock stars in the film, Bird Box. The celebrity mom recently told Variety how her kids benefited from her starring role in the movie.
“It’s not an easy place to stay when you have to stay there for 15 hours a day and imagine family dying, your children dying, or the love of your life dying,” Sandra said of her mindset when acting out the apocalyptic story. “But by the time I went home by the end of the day, I was so grateful I didn’t have to think those horrible thoughts, that I think every day as a mother in general out of fear. It was cathartic. I purged them. I got to go home [and] I think my kids liked me better because I wasn’t so scared and militant and fearful.”
