There’s another victory in the bank for Tyrese Gibson in his public child custody battle with his child’s mother, Norma Mitchell. A judge has ruled that the FURIOUS star does not have to pay for his first wife’s “non-work” errands.
According to TMZ,
“A judge is siding with Tyrese, ruling there are limits when it comes to his ex-wife demanding he cover childcare costs … especially if her activities aren’t work-related.
According to docs, obtained by TMZ, the judge ruled Norma Gibson can’t expect Tyrese to reimburse her for babysitters to watch their 11-year-old daughter, Shayla … if Norma’s running ‘non-work errands’ or running her household.”
Tyrese presented the notion of Norma Mitchell taking advantage of child support payments last month in documents presented to the court system. The celebrity father accused his daughter Shayla’s mother of attaching babysitting expenses to the bill all without having a job. Norma claimed in court documents that she paid a babysitter $25 per hour to watch Shayla. Tyrese asked for receipts to show proof of such payments as well as evidence that Norma was actually employed and, thus, needed childcare services.
It may be safe to assume that Shayla’s mother could not furnish proof seeing as how a judge saw things Tyrese’s way. Stay tuned for more celebrity child custody news!
