The stars traveled downtown to the LA Mission for a day of dining and mingling with the homeless. Thousands of impoverished individuals were given a hot meal and other goodies on Thanksgiving Day. “Helping from the Hart,” Kevin Hart captioned underneath a picture of him and the family posing for a picture in between serving duties. Even baby Kenzo got in on the holiday spirit of giving.

Nia Long and her sons, Massai and Kez, also came out to serve the homeless on Thanksgiving Day. “Thank you @thelamission for inviting us to volunteer today,” the actress shared online along with a picture of her with her sons. “It was our pleasure to serve healthy meals to those in need. Today we are thankful for making a difference.”

The LA Mission has given individuals without a home and the necessary resources to thrive in life a safe place for several decades. The non-profit remains committed to those in need by faithfully serving holiday dinners every Thanksgiving and Christmas Day. The LA Mission carries out every charity event with the following vision at the forefront:

“We see each individual as a spiritual person of worth and dignity and worthy of assistance in their journey. Our vision is to see individuals and families set free from addictions and homelessness, transformed by God to become physically and spiritually healthy; educationally equipped to participate in society and sustain housing; and encouraged to create relationships of love and service to others. We seek to help those who have been abused and neglected to find a better life. We seek to help those who have become addicted to understand their addictions, to expect physical healing and to live in ways that are healthy to soul, mind, and body.”
