Remy Ma and Papoose are getting ready for baby, and they want you to come along for the adventure! The couple brings fans inside of their humble home in the three-part VH1 special called Meet The Mackies that revolves around the couple’s preparations for their little one.
“I’ve been eating right, working out, and preparing for this for almost a year,” Remy Ma shared online during her and Papoose’s anniversary celebration. “We are so happy,” the expectant rapper continued. “Thank you to everyone that prayed for us and sent blessings our way.” Of course, Remy was speaking in reference to her and Papoose’s expectancy, which she chose to announce while celebrating her anniversary.
It was just last year that Remy Ma revealed major complications with fertility that led her to believe that expanding the family was an impossibility. “As a woman, you start to think, ‘What did I do wrong? What could I have done to prevent it,'” Remy revealed during an interview with Billboard.
The rapper went on to say, “We have all these politicians that claim they’re pro-life, and that say women should not be able to get abortions and all this other stuff. There’s nothing more pro-life than helping a woman who wants to have a child have a child. Then I realized that health insurance doesn’t cover IVF. I could use my health insurance to not have a child if I want to, but I can’t use my health insurance to conceive.”
Thankfully, Remy Ma had the resources she needed to conceive the child that she longed for. Fans will get an up-close and personal look at the journey in the upcoming VH1 series, Meet The Mackies. Viewers can definitely expect to see Remy in all of her pregnancy glow. Perhaps we will also get to see how the rapper manages to hit all of the right angles for the perfect selfie poses every time.
Meet The Mackies comes to VH1 on October 1, 2018. Remy Ma and Papoose are expecting their little one to arrive in December.
