Melanie Brown, a.k.a. Mel B, is a single mom who does it all. The America’s Got Talent tells Us Weekly that her job as a mom is one that never ends.

“Single moms, we do it all,” she reveals. “We have to be the mom, the dad, the provider. We have to make sure they’re in check and that they do their homework. Pack their lunch. Buy clothes. You have to do everything. So props to all the single parents out there.”
Mel B gave fans a bit of insight into her life as a single mom in a rather revealing Instagram post about her family last October. “Being a good person doesn’t guarantee that others will be good people too,” Brown wrote online.
“You only have control over yourself and how you choose to be as a person, as for others well you can choose to either accept them or walk away, even if your left all alone with no one it doesn’t really mean you’re alone, no. It just means you’re strong enough to handle things all by yourself.”

Mel’s revelation was confirmation of her separation from her then-husband, Stephen Belafonte. The former couple has since endured public scrutiny while going through divorce proceedings.
