Teyana Taylor must be careful. The celebrity mom recently slipped up with her language during an Instagram Live session and Junie repeated a bad word that she heard her mom say.
Teyana was expressing excitement over a new stage in her career when she vowed to “work that p***y.” The recording artist repeated the word several times before her daughter, Iman Jr., repeated what her mom said. “What’s a p***y palace,” Junie asked with all inquisitiveness. “Junie, no! Don’t say that,” Teyana exclaimed. The celebrity mom then turned to the camera and told her fans that going live with her daughter nearby may not have been the greatest plan.
“we need a clean version of WTP ASAP,” Taylor later told her social media followers. “I zoned out and forgot @babyjunie4 was even sitting there, let alone all up in my convo,” the celebrity mom explained. “These kids are sponges! Lort forgive me.” Kids certainly do say the darndest things.
Some online fans understood Teyana’s mistake and offered forgiveness. Critics, however, took the singer’s blunder as an opportunity to bask in scrutiny. “The baby was just doing her job, learning and repeating stuff,” one online commenter said. “Mama should be more careful if she doesn’t want the baby to curse.” Another critic wrote, “Why say p***y (pretty loud) and then repeat it around your child?”
Teyana Taylor certainly isn’t the first to let a curse word slip in front of the kids. Tyga told media in 2016 that his son, King, got in trouble at school after repeating a bad word he heard his father say.
“He had an incident at school, they called me and they were like, ‘Your son’s walking around saying the B-word,'” Tyga revealed. “And I was like, ‘Where did he hear that?’ He told them, ‘My dad says it in the studio.'” Kids soak up everything, we tell you!
