It Was Amazing!

The 2018 MTV Awards were memorable for more reasons than one. Chloe and Halle’s performance at the show was nothing short of flawless.

The young singers rocked beautiful gowns that brought the crowd into their stellar presentation. Chloe and Halle’s vocal abilities never cease to amaze us, and this year’s MTV Awards more than exceeded our expectations. The sisters sang two of their hit songs, “Warrior” and “The Kids Are Alright.” Many have said that the young stars’ performance was reminiscent of Beyonce’s younger years in the industry.

It makes sense that Chloe and Halle would reflect Bey in their sound and appearance. The girls were, after all, trained by the queen.

It was just a few weeks ago that Halle and Chloe told media about the positive ways that Beyonce has impacted their careers. “I feel very fortunate because we’re given this incredible platform with Beyoncé and [her label] Parkwood, but we’re still able to use our voices and tell the story that we want to tell and create the music we want to create,” Chloe shared. “Beyoncé has always encouraged us to trust our intuition. I’m so grateful because some artists are not able to do that, but we are and it means the world to us.”

Halle also chimed in on Beyonce’s mentorship. “Watching her over the years, I’ve seen how grateful and gracious she is,” the young star explained. “She also really knows her self-worth and power and, as a young person, that’s personally been really inspiring. I look to her and can say, ‘If she can feel like she’s worthy and beautiful, then I can too.'”
