"I Have Feminine Paintings All Over The Walls And Pictures Of Naked Women"

Amber Rose’s approach to parenting is not like the traditional mom rearing her son. This celebrity mom is one who believes openness is the way to teaching boys to respect women.

“I teach my son that a woman’s body is not a sexual object,” Rose tells Teen Vogue. “It’s human anatomy,” she adds. “I have feminine paintings all over the walls [and] pictures of naked women. My son is so used to seeing it, [so] it’s not weird to him.”

Amber goes on to explain her reasoning for nudity around the house. “I feel like, as parents, when we talk to our children [and] make things very taboo and sexual and weird,” she explains. “We’re like, ‘No, no, no, don’t look. I’m naked. Don’t come in.’ It makes them be like, ‘Why? What’s the big deal?’ When you don’t make things a big deal like that, [they are] going to fully understand that the female body is [just] human anatomy.”

In addition to teaching her son about the beauty that is the woman’s body, Amber Rose is working to give plus-size women more options in the fashion arena. Her new collection, Amber Rose x Simply Be, is slated to debut soon with sizes up to US 32.

“After I had my son, I was plus size,” Amber shares. “I had never been plus size before. I remember trying to find things that fit me, and it was very difficult. I’ve experienced both sides. There [are] girls that are plus size and I [wanted] to make sure that they feel beautiful and confident in these clothes as well. That was important.”

Rose further delves by telling media that her collection is affordable (everything is under $100) and simple. “There [are] no patterns. I wanted to make all [of the clothes] solid colors. That was really important for me so you can mix and match the whole collection. There’s nothing that you would have to try to figure out [on your own] or anything.”

Stay tuned to see the brilliance that is Amber Rose’s plus-size collection. The celebrity mom has one child, Sebastian “Bash” Thomaz, with her ex-husband, Wiz Khalifa.
