Navia Robinson is no stranger to stranger to the small screen. Having played in shows such as The Vampire Diaries, Free Rein, Being Mary Jane, and Disney’s Raven’s Home, Robinson is definitely a rising star that is making a mark on Hollywood today.
On April 29th, the young starlet attended the 45th 2018 Daytime Emmy Awards at the Pasadena Civic Auditorium. Looking like nothing less than a modern-day princess, dressed in black, as she stood in solidarity with the #timesup movement, Robinson proved that she is more than just an actress, she is a budding fashionista as well.
Recently, sat down and spoke to Newsday.com’s Kidsday reporters and gave them the 411 on how she feels about everything from filming with a live studio audience to which celebrities she wants to one day hopefully work with. Check out an excerpt from her interview below.
Do you feel you and your character are alike or different?
I think we’re actually really similar in so many ways. I think we’re both independent and we both care so much about our family and we’d do anything to help them. We’re both levelheaded and almost the glue that holds the family together, keeps everybody sane. Because we love Raven, who is super eccentric and energetic. We’ve got Booker, who’s obviously super crazy, and you know, between Annaliese [van der Pol], who is Chelsea in the show, and Levi and Tess, we just got a lot of personalities, and I think Nia almost keeps it all in one piece. That’s a great way to describe it. Yeah.
