Great news for Tyrese and his wife, Samantha Gibson. The couple is expecting their first child, a baby girl, to arrive this September.
“Both of our love and energy and magic and families are bonded forever because we’re going to have this child,” Tyrese tells PEOPLE exclusively. “It’s unbelievable,” he adds.
Many became excited for Tyrese and his wife last year when the FURIOUS star seemingly announced his expectancy of a son. Tyrese later told fans that he was a bit delusional due to prescribed medication and that Samantha was not pregnant.
This time around, of course, is different. “There was no greater reaction than her mom’s reaction,” Tyrese says of his mother-in-law’s response to the great news. “Samantha is her only daughter, and this has been prayers for years and years, for her to get married and find the right one and start a family.”
Fans can definitely expect Shayla, Tyrese’s 10-year-old daughter, to be a hands-on type of older sibling. “[She’s] been asking for siblings since I’ve known her,” Samantha tells PEOPLE.
