Nas and Kelis have come to an agreement in their custody battle for their son, Knight. The celebrity parents have allegedly agreed to joint legal custody with alternating birthdays and holidays.
According to TMZ
“Nas and Kelis have agreed to share joint legal and physical custody of Knight. The agreement is specific, breaking down who gets the child during various holidays. For example, Nas gets Knight on Father’s Day and Kelis gets the child on Mother’s Day.
They’ll alternate Knight’s birthdays … he gets the even years and she gets the odd years.”
Nas was reportedly ordered to pay Kelis $8,000 per month in child support for Knight. The celebrity mother, however, believes that the father of her child has recovered from his financial turmoil and, thus, should be capable of giving more in support of his son.
It was in January that Kelis and Nas settled a custody dispute involving visitation rights. Nas claimed that Kelis kept him away from their son. Kelis, of course, denied such allegations. The celebrity parents reached common ground on that issue by establishing specific dates of visitation for Nas. The star father was given four weekends between January and March with the time beginning on Friday and going through Sunday nights, or Monday mornings in instances of three-day weekends.
Knight is Nas and Kelis’ only child together. Stay tuned for more celebrity custody battle news!
