"I Could Always Do Candy, Pickles"

Pregnancy for Jordin Sparks has been a bit on the crazy side. The singer tells Life & Style exclusively about her experience.

“It’s crazy,” Jordin exclaims. “My first trimester, I craved a lot of salty stuff like chips, pretzels — and then, randomly, blood oranges out of nowhere. I could always do candy, pickles.”

Jordin and her husband, Dana Isaiah, celebrated the impending birth of their child this past weekend with a baby shower. The mom-to-be shared her feelings of gratitude with Instagram fans after the festivities concluded. “We had a low key baby shower for Little man in AZ with family and friends this afternoon,” Sparks wrote online. “It was beautiful,” she added. “I am so grateful for the support system I’ve had growing up and the roots that took hold to support us now. This journey is incredible.”

With gratitude and anticipation comes a few challenges along the way. Jordin tells Life & Style that pregnancy has completely changed her way of eating. “My appetite kind of just went out the window,” the expectant star reveals. “That’s been strange to deal with because I thought I would be eating everything,” Jordin continues. “I’m like, OK, got a couple more months of this. We can do it!”
