Black Panther is probably one of the most anticipated movies to date. Many A-list celebrities have taken the lead to make sure that as many children as possible could view this history-making Marvel film. Adding their names to the philanthropic list are 36-year-old Tennis pro Serena Williams and husband Alexis Ohanian.
The pair rented out an entire theater to treat a group of girls affiliated with Black Girls Code. The best part of the treat? The young ladies had no idea that Williams would watch with them.
“I’m glad you guys could make it out,” Serena says in a video. “Obviously this is a huge moment for us and for black people. We’ve never had a superhero movie, so we’re so excited. I feel like I waited my whole life for this.”
