We’ve heard the rumors. Now, we get to hear it from the woman herself. Tamar Braxton took to Instagram to get candid about her family and separation from her husband and son’s father, Vincent Herbert.
“Here is the thing, and MY truth,” Tamar wrote. “I told myself I would do whatever it took to keep my family together, to see a smile on someone who has seen us smile on their face hoping we could offer them hope, faith, Love and dignity that I️ once possessed. But the truth is all of those things are NOT within the marriage of Tamar & Vince … at least not anymore,” Tamar admitted.

The singer continued with her frankness by relating to husbands and wives who put on a mask in public all while suffering in private. “We get so caught up in WE are ‘winning’ in love that we are LOSING a battle that doesn’t have ANYTHING 2 do with us,” she explained. “I️ decided I didn’t want to be married for the sake of saying so. I wanted to have a relationship. Someone to share my/our dreams, our successes, our failures, our past, present and future with … and not finding out sh*t online.”
Tamar ended her note by confirming that she and Vincent were separated and on the road to divorce by writing, “That LAST time was the LAST time.” Tamar and Vince have one child, Logan, together. Stay tuned to see how the couple works out child custody issues!
