Keyshia Cole stopped by The Breakfast Club on Tuesday to talk about her new album, 11:11 Reset, and life as a working mom. The recording artist didn’t have much to say about her estranged husband Daniel Gibson Sr.’s recent filings with the courts that requested spousal support as well as physical custody of their son, Daniel Gibson Jr.
“I haven’t been back to L.A. to find out what that’s about,” Keyshia said. “It could be [true]. He said no, but, I mean, so why was the paperwork filed,” the singer asked. “I don’t want to talk about it,” she added. “He says it’s not true. … I’m hoping that wouldn’t be the case. I’m hoping that he would never try to do that.”

We hope the same. After all, it was Keyshia who recently let her estranged husband live with her when he was experiencing difficulties. “He was going through some things, and it was worrying me that he wasn’t going to be able to spend as much time with DJ as was necessary to have spent with him. And I just didn’t agree with that, and I just was like, ‘Dude. It’s all good. You just mind your business.’ And then, you know, we get along,” Cole said.
