Jahna and Nicole did a great job of modeling the farwa, which is a staple garment worn by fashion-forward men and women in Saudi Arabia and Jordan. This outerwear is especially popular during winter months when the weather is cold and bundling up is essential.

Ainy Naim and her Anz Clothing line are working to make the farwa a hit in the United States and throughout the Western hemisphere. “It’s more than just a fashion statement, it’s cultural too,” she recently told Vogue magazine. “When I first launched my label in 2014 there was a lot of conflict in the Middle East, particularly in Palestine,” she explained.

“I wanted to desensitize the negativity portrayed by the media and shift the perspective that the world had on the region by using the keffiyeh print dominantly in my designs. It’s such a beautiful pattern and I wanted to show people how rich and colorful Middle Eastern culture is. It’s very different from what’s on the market.”

Different is definitely better in this instance as the farwas created by Anz Clothing are simply beautiful. Learn more about this company and the new fashion movement it is enacting in the United States here. Stay tuned for more Nicole Dean fashion news!
