Many fans are still grappling with the reality of Chris Bosh being forced into retirement after facing life-threatening blood clotting. The Miami Heat gave Chris quite the monumental ceremony that included counting his jersey among the greats who came before him and putting his number (#1) out of commission.
“He changed our lives for the better, in a way we never would have imagined, when he joined the Miami Heat,” Team President Pat Riley said. “We will forever be indebted to CB for how he changed this team and led us to four trips to the NBA Finals and two NBA Championships. He is, without a doubt, one of the greatest players in the history of the franchise. The number ‘1’ will never be worn by another player and we can’t wait to someday hang his jersey in the rafters.”
Chris Bosh played for the Miami Heat for seven years before retiring this past July. He began his professional basketball career as a team member of the Toronto Raptors in 2003. Chris and Adrienne Bosh have four children – Lennox, Dylan, Jackson, and Phoenix – together. Trinity is Chris’ oldest child from previous relations.
