It’s been a few weeks since Sanya Richards-Ross and husband Aaron Ross welcomed their son, Aaron Jermaine Ross II. Now, fans get an inside look at his nursery!
Us Weekly went inside of the Ross’ home to get the details behind the celebrity couple’s design choices regarding their son’s nursery. Neutrality was important to Sanya who followed the advice of her good friend, Angela Simmons, when hiring designer Vanessa Antonelli.
“With four gold medals and two Super Bowl rings, of course, they’re gold people,” Antonelli said of accessories in young Aaron’s room. “So, gold accents throughout the space were the logical choice,” she added.
Equally logical was the section of space that housed little Aaron’s first pair of shoes on top of a set of what probably serve as his set of nighttime stories.
The result of little Aaron’s room was masterful. Getting to that point, however, wasn’t the easiest path. “They were simultaneously undergoing a major home renovation,” Vanessa told media. “So to say it was chaos at the Ross home is putting it mildly. On top of that, it felt like everything that could go wrong, did go wrong. They were even calmer and cooler than I was while everything got sorted out. Their ability to handle pressure with such grace is undoubtedly going to make them incredible parents!”
Incredible parents, they are. Sanya Richards-Ross and Aaron Ross welcomed their son in August. “This is, by far, the most gratifying moment of my life,” Sanya said two weeks after giving birth. “He gives me greater purpose and a reason to smile every day, and I just want to be the best mom to him that I can be!”
Little Aaron Ross is Sanya and Aaron Sr.’s first child. Stay tuned for more Sanya Richards-Ross lifestyle news!
