There is too much cuteness in this shot! Willa Gray, Lauren and Thomas Rhett’s oldest daughter, was geared up and ready for school earlier this week and her endearing poses were too much for mom.
“How we feel about Willa Gray’s first official day of school,” Lauren shared along with one picture of Willa giving a look of excitement while sitting next to her dad. “Also, found this one,” the doting mom captioned underneath another photo of Willa and Thomas hanging out on the family’s porch. “My heart is on the floor,” Lauren wrote. “Lord have mercy I love her. Sorry, I just posted two of the EXACT same photo. I’m just an obsessive mom over here.” We understand, Lauren.
Willa joined Thomas and Lauren’s happy home just months before the couple welcomed their first biological child, Ada. “There’s never a dull moment,” Lauren said during a recent interview with PEOPLE. “We’re tired, but we’re happy,” she added. “The blessings around us are incredible. We feel like it’s all part of the plan.”
The Rhett’s sought to adopt Willa Gray from Uganda after coming to grips with the possible reality of being unable to conceive and give birth naturally. It was shortly after starting the adoption process that Lauren and Thomas learned they were expecting a child.
“When she came home from Uganda, she didn’t skip a beat,” Lauren told PEOPLE of her and Thomas’ oldest daughter. “Going from Uganda to America, nothing. Having a baby sister? World-changing!”
