Is there anything Madonna wouldn’t do for her kids? Probably not. The celebrity mom has reportedly relocated from New York to Lisbon so that her son, David, can have a solid foundation in his career as a professional soccer player.
David was apparently signed to a prestigious football (soccer in North America) academy named S.L. Benfica a few months back. Madonna knew then that she and the family would need to uproot their lives and move to Portugal in support of the tween’s dream. Rumor has it that the ‘Material Girl’ singer and her kids have finally touched down in the country.

“Madonna is no longer a tourist, she now lives in Lisbon,” one of the region’s local papers noted. The media source went on to tell its readers that Madonna’s relocation comes “hot on the heels of the news that she was ‘uprooting’ her family from their New York home to start a new life.”
An insider told the Daily Mail that Madonna’s move was every bit strategic before the latest news of the singer’s relocation hit the press. “David recently spent a week at Benfica and his prodigious talents impressed everyone,” the family friend revealed.
“Madonna is determined to give her kids every opportunity in life and this one is too good to pass up,” the insider added. “She and the family will be moving to Portugal in time for the new school year in September.”

Madonna shared a video clip of David playing soccer with his little sisters, Estere and Stelle, a few weeks ago. The youngster’s knack for the sport was certainly obvious. David has also been recorded playing the guitar and singing the lyrics to his favorite songs.
Does Madonna have a soccer athlete and rock star on her hands? We’ll just have to wait and see. Madonna is the proud mom of six kids.
