Bring on the positivity! LeBron James and his family took the stage at his I PROMISE charity’s event on Tuesday. The celebrity father thanked the children who participate in his program and challenge him to be better.
“You guys make me be everything that I can be and try to be as perfect as I can for you kids because I can’t let you down, and I refuse to let you down,” LeBron said. “Thank you for allowing me to be your inspiration. Thank you for allowing me to be your father figure at times, your superhero at times, your brother at times, and all the above. You guys are un-freaking-believable.”
LeBron James’ I PROMISE event at Cedar Park, called the “We Are Family” Reunion, stemmed from the star athlete’s foundation that strives to help disenfranchised youth. “Right before I went into the draft, we created the LeBron James Family Foundation (LJFF),” LeBron shares on his charity’s website.
“Mom and I wanted to create a foundation that, regardless of where I was playing, would be dedicated to giving back to the community by enriching the support system that helped us along our journey. Today, that commitment has grown bigger and better than we ever could have imagined.”
LeBron’s I PROMISE foundation has helped thousands of children reach academic heights they never deemed possible. Learn more about the organization here. LeBron James and his wife, Savannah James, are the proud parents of three children.
