Torrei Hart has a new hair care line and it’s inspired by her daughter, Heaven Hart. The celebrity mom took to Instagram earlier this week to announce her new brand and the motivation behind the new product line.
“Heavenly Hart Hair Care is extremely important to me for the simple reason that it is my poignant wish to leave a legacy for my daughter, Heaven,” Torrei told social media fans. “For me, it is another way to demonstrate both my total love for her and just how much she means to me.”
Torrei worked closely with Leola Anifowoshe, Nzuri’s CEO and co-founder, to create a line that bolsters hair growth. “With me being a mom and having a daughter, who’s not only a Black daughter but she’s a chocolate girl, too,” Torrei told ESSENCE.com. “I want her to feel empowered and have that sense of, ‘This is who God made me. I am beautiful no matter what.'”
As for Heaven’s response to a hair care line in her name: “I don’t think it’s hit her yet because I told her, ‘This is a legacy for you. I’m creating this for you. This is inspired by you, honey.’ It’s just like this has all been in the making now since she was born.”
Heaven’s brother, Hendrix, understands the significance of having your name on a brand. “He’s already like, ‘Well, mom, what about me? What’s going to be my product,'” Torrei revealed. “He’s a little business man so he’s sitting around trying to come up with ideas. And I’m like, ‘Honey, let’s think about that. We’re going to get to you, too.”
