VIRGINIA PRE-TEEN, JELANI JONES, SET TO TAKE OVER THE BATH PRODUCTS BUSINESS

With the push to go natural and green in almost every aspect of modern-day life, it is no wonder that companies have begun to answer the call of customer demand. From household cleaners to food, retailers have begun to create products that are not only good at what they do but good for you.

One young entrepreneur who is following in the footsteps of her predecessors is nine-year-old Jelani Jones from Fredricksburg, VA, with her line of bath products, Lani Boo Bath, that she makes from home herself.

Jones’ interest in creating her products started when they made fizzy bath bombs in school. With the idea that she could do this herself at home and sell the products, she came up with a name for her business, an initial investment from her parents, and Lani Boo Bath was born.

Jones’ business has grown beyond selling to friends, to family, and at craft shows to selling all over the country. So, how does this straight-A student manage it all? “I have a schedule so I can fit everything in,” Jones explains to blackbusiness.org in a recent interview.

We definitely cannot wait to see what the future holds for his rising entrepreneur! For more details on Lani Boo Bath products, visit their Etsy store or connect with them on Facebook.
