It was a night of friendly competition among celebrities at CC Sabathia’s All Stars of New York Bowling Tournament. The event was held earlier this week and hosted some of the area’s biggest stars.

David “Big Papi” Ortiz was one of many celebrities recruited for the charity event. Ortiz was team captain of the opposing team that faced off against CC Sabathia’s squad. BCK was in the attendance to see all of the action that was for a great cause.

Proceeds for the All Stars of New York Bowling Tournament went towards CC Sabathia’s Pitcch In Foundation. The charity was founded in 2008 with inner city youth in mind.

“I’ve dealt with everything, from people in my family suddenly passing away to drug addicts living in my house,” CC shares on his foundation’s website. “There were many different things I had to deal with growing up. Nevertheless, I always knew what my goals were– to stay focused and have a better life for myself.”

This year’s bowling event was an adult-only occasion but every attendee had the kids in mind as they enjoyed great food and camaraderie. CC Sabathia and his wife Amber have four kids together. Learn more about the family’s Pitcch In Foundation here!
