RON CLARK STUDENT, JASMINE STEWART, WINS MASTERCHEF JUNIOR

The hit FOX series, MasterChef Junior, has crowned a new champion and it is twelve-year-old Ron Clark Academy Jasmine Stewart!

The Georgia sixth-grader took home the top prize of $100,000 as she wowed the judges, which included hard-core celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay. A few of Stewart’s winning palate delights included molten lava cake and a rack of lamb over beef and pork; a scallop-and-white-fish appetizer with a green papaya salad; a lobster tail entree with coconut curry; and a sticky rum cake with pineapple chips for dessert.

“This is the biggest moment of my entire life. Who would ever think a little girl from Milton, GA., would ever win MasterChef Junior?” Jasmine told the Atlanta Journal-Constitution. “Some of the highlights of the show was winning of course, but I did love it when I got an apron. I never thought I would even make it on the show, let alone be getting an apron and get to wear it.”

The series, hosted by Gordon Ramsay and Christina Tosi, is just as difficult as the adult version for the young chefs. The kids are put through the same culinary challenges,  that test skills and will, to see just who has what it takes to be the next MasterChef Junior.

Congratulations, Jasmine! We can’t wait to see what you cook up next!
