Motherhood is treating Natalie Nunn well. The new mom shares her story with Rolling Out.

“My experience with motherhood has been amazing since she’s here,” the reality star explains. Natalie Nunn and husband Jacob Payne welcomed their daughter, Journey, last month after announcing their expectancy last year. News of Journey’s impending arrival came after Natalie suffered a miscarriage that led her down the road of depression. Although Natalie endured much pain after the loss of her unborn child, the celebrity mom is experiencing nothing short of joy as Journey’s mom.

“I wanted her to have a name that started with the letter ‘J,'” the star says of her thought process when choosing a name for her little one. “Jacob is my husband and I want our kids to have his first initial. My mom said, ‘This pregnancy has been a journey for you,’ and I was like, ‘Oh my God; her name will be Journey.'”

In many respects, Natalie’s pregnancy has been a pilgrimage for both her and Jacob. “If any guy could get pregnant, it would be Jacob,” Nunn says of her husband’s hands-on approach during expectancy. “He carried Journey as much as I did the whole nine months. He didn’t miss a doctor’s appointment. He didn’t miss a class we signed up for. He’s been really amazing with her.”
