Serena Williams is getting in touch with her maternal and Na’vi Warrior sides. The expectant star got in Avatar character for a sneak peak of “Pandora - The World of Avatar” at Disney’s Animal Kingdom in Lake Buena Vista, Florida, earlier this week. Serena was blown away by the sights and was sure to take a few pictures while rocking attire that resembled the Na’vi people in the hit film Avatar.
“Had the best time at Disney,” Williams said after the tour. “Pandora was unreal,” she added before encouraging her Instagram fans to visit the attraction.
“Pandora – The World of Avatar” is a 12-acre plot that is based on the 2009 film that grossed more than $2.7 billion worldwide. Avatar impacted the culture of the time to the extent of college professors using examples from the film during their lectures.
Serena is expecting her and fiance Alexis Ohanian’s first child to arrive in the fall. It was just a few weeks ago that the Wimbledon champion wrote a touching note to her little one.
“You taught me the true meaning of serenity and peace,” Williams said. “I can’t wait to meet you. I can’t wait for you to join the players’ box next year,” she added. “Most importantly, I am so happy to share being number one in the world with you…. once again today,” Williams said of her career’s success.
Serena and her fiance are planning to wed in coming months.
