Family and friends are devastated by the untimely passing of Christopher “Big Black” Boykin. The MTV star’s ex-wife and co-worker took to social media to share and respond to news of his death.
“I’m heartbroken to tell you of Black’s passing. He’s everything to me and Isis and we will miss him,” Boykin’s ex-wife revealed on Tuesday. Thousands of Twitter fans responded with shock and heartfelt condolences. “He was incredible and, he’ll remembered for all the times he touched so many lives in a positive light,” one follower tweeted.

Boykin was just talking about the highly anticipated fight between Canelo Alvarez and Golden Boy the day before his untimely death. “Someway, Somehow this fight isn’t going to happen in Sept Canelo is going to purposely get hurt during training camp to delay this fight,” he shared online. Hundreds of fans agreed with Boykin’s rationale and a few even retweeted what the reality star said.

It’s hard to believe that the celebrity father of one was discussing the probability of a boxing match one day and gone the next. “My heart is broken,” Boykin’s MTV co-star, Rob Dyrdek, wrote on Tuesday. “We truly were brothers that lived an unexpected unforgettable adventure. I just can’t fathom that it would end so suddenly. You will forever be in my heart.”
Christopher “Big Black” Boykin and Rob Dyrdek gave fans an inside look into their lives on the MTV reality series Rob & Big, which aired from 2006-2008. Christopher leaves behind a 9-year-old daughter named Isis.
